More than seventeen years ago our first son Traidhos was born, followed two years later by Trithep. Naturally, with two wonderful sons life for Khun Tam and me was complete joy. It was also time for my mind to focus on their future.

I did not want my sons to follow in my footsteps, which had taken me to schools in the United States when I was ten years old, not coming back home to Thailand permanently until nearly twenty years later. During that whole period I visited my family only three times.
